I was puzzled by the mark on my first butterfly:

It was so Sheffield's old hallmark looking, I thought it was Art Nouveau!
Then I found too an enamel bird which the seller identified as Thomae, with fully visible mark:

So, Thomae is an American company founded in 1920, still in activity now!
