I recently won this item in an auction. The information I was given about the watch, I cannot find any correlation to. It was listed as having a serial number of 2267967 and the world La Petite.

When I opened the watch, it says Watch Co Inc as the manufacturer of the time piece and 7 jewels. There are no markings of any kind on the back cases. The case of the watch tests positive for silver and the diamonds have been authenticated as real. There are 3 emerald cut diamonds of a good size as well as a further 12 rose cut diamonds. At least a carat, possibly more.

A lot of gems for a silver watch. I'm thinking this watch was put together out of parts for someone?

Well, it was my mistake. The watch was completely misrepresented with the naming of a serial number that is not part of this ring. Shiffied was a company that didn't last very long in the 1960's and featured cheap glamorous watches. I tested the diamonds with my brand new tester from Gemlogis and as expected they were glass.

So.....it goes back to the offending seller.
