Washington and his mother Napoleon and a couple of other engravings there is so many of these to go through so much history in front of me I wish I knew exactly what year they were published in the book they came out of any help would be greatly appreciated
These all seem to be bookplate printings - try researching either the titles or the artist signature noted at the bottoms - J.L.G. Ferris was Jean Leon Gerome Ferris.
Aghcollect thank you! I'm red researching now!!
My guess is these are from 1890's era books.
Jean-Louis Ernest Meissonier (21 February 1815 – 31 January 1891) was a French Classicist painter and sculptor famous for his depictions of Napoleon
Good show agh!
Awesome find, loving the pics, some yellow around the ages, smell old.
The edge yellow in bookpage lingo is called "foxing" - very common in old books, so is the smell - as long as it doesn't smell like mold, you're ok.
Foxing gotcha, no mold smell, thank goodness!
