    marked bnfn in a triangle Germany possible silver other side has a serial #357564 988 gold plated and silver color shows through it.

      Intriguing... The logo is Bayerische Metallwarenrfabrik Nürnberg, i.e. the Bavarian Metalware Factory. Not that it helps very much.

      "Early 1970's piece made to look like a number bar of gold. Solid with gold plating. 3 1/2" long and a little over 1 1/2" wide. Copies have been made but this is the original design. It is differentiated from the copies by the .986 (not .999) quality stamp on the gold bar.
