    1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition Post #4:

The first one showing a bear in the mountains with the PPIE in the background is marked on the back, “DESIGN PAT. JULY 29TH. 1913”

The second one showing a frontiersman / miner does not have a makers mark.

    Thanks for looking,
    Dave

Kerry, I do not have a Ingraham Sentinel watch with a dog on the dial. I have a Sentinel pocket watch box & Sentinel alarm clock box with a dog on them.

This post kicks up a little dust for me. As you may know, San Diego, which happens to be my hometown, hosted the 1915 Expo, and this year is the 100th anniversary of that event. Two years ago a committee was formed to plan for the centennial event, a lot of taxpayer money, like in the millions, went to the committee to do the work, a lot of grandiose talk came out from the council prez and Balboa Park rep, Todd Gloria, about all these gala events and big time corporate sponsors -- and nothing came out of it. Bottom line, Gloria failed at the one big thing he needed to do, and took a lot of money with him down the rabbit hole. So the year will come and go, and by the time the 200th rolls around, we will all be elsewhere minding our own business, lol.

The "Panama-California Exposition" was held in San Diego, California and opened on Jan. 1, 1915 & closed on Jan. 1, 1917 and celebrated the opening of the Panama Canal.
The "Panama-Pacific International Exposition" (PPIE) was a World's Fair held in San Francisco, California between Feb. 20th & Dec. 4th, 1915 to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal.
The items I have posted are from the PPIE, Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
