I just wanna know what this is, lol.
I bought it ages ago and forgot about it until tonight. It's pretty dirty, but I wasn't sure if I should polish it or not. (Any opinions about polishing vs. leaving it alone are welcome!)
Underneath this thing there is a brush that slides out. It has a clear handle. The bottom of "this thing" is marked:

On the top of the lid there's an engraving of a reindeer and a unicorn, (lol) a crest, and a ribbon that says:
"MAJOR AB ADVERSIS"

Agree with T.A. on all his comment, but only soft polishing with a silver cloth!
Without the brush sliding part I would said candy dish/server.
