Hi guys. This is a vintage purse that my sister bought and we were wondering a little more about it and how much it may be worth. She found it at a goodwill. It is an interesting purse that has lots of little beads surrounding the purse. It is in pretty good shape. The size of this purse is 5 and 1/2 by 8 with the 8 inches being the purse and the handle. We really do want to know more about this and if any of you guys need more info to help figure out what it is please hit me up with some questions. Every thing helps. Thanks!
The "worth" of an item is simply what someone will pay for it - so whatever your sister paid for it is the current "worth"
It's a beautiful little bag. I know there are purse collector sites out there, so they may be able to help as far as maker and era. A few people on here also collect purses, they might drop in with a comment on your purse. Good luck! :)
@aghcollect I was wondering how much I could get for it in today's market if I were to sell it?
Simply google "vintage beaded change purse" and the internet will direct you to the basic "values" page of ebay (also check etsy to see what others are being offered for). Asking prices and actual "sold" prices will distinguish the true value. Generally these seem to be available as low as $10 but you have to base your value on the size and condition also. It appears yours is in need of repair to both the interior lining and the lining of the strap looks to be fraying also. If relining is not an option, a bead purse collector may want it just for the beads themselves to repair other purses. In retrospect, values are always determined by the buyer, especially on an "unknown maker" item. - I apologize if my first comment seemed a little harsh but it is not easy to appraise something based on a few photos and technically this site is for collectors to show their items, not to give free appraisals.
