    This pheasant was also part of a pair. I put one down on the floor... it just touched a table leg and shattered into pieces. This happened just 5 minutes ago. :o(. This sommerso pheasant is clear/red with a cobalt blue tail. He is 14.5 inches long and has lots of gold in body, base, tail and beak. a weight of 4 lbs.

      Thanks for your concern. It has happened to me a couple of times in the past and of course it happens to be a favorite piece. Shocks your system at first, but you can't do anything about it. The piece seemed brittle when it broke. It broke off the base, the end of the tail broke off and the comb was broken off. A total loss.
