      Murano is great but the Chinese make wonderful fakes. Depending on the weight is where you find your quality. There was a time during Victorian times that if a worker left the Island of Murano they would hunt him down! I love the sweets too.

      I know what you are talking about. I can usually tell the Chinese fakes even by looking at them on e-bay. Like you say...the weight and also the craftsmanship. Nearly all of my sources for my glass come from reputable art glass collectors who have I known for years who have had some of my pieces since the 50's and 6o's. Cheers.
