Charles Lotton Mandarin Red Glass Vase with Blue Luster Pulled Feather Design, 1981

Like many of my friends and fellow collectors of Loetz and other Bohemian glass, I also admire the work of some of the more modern fine studio glass artists. I only have a few pieces of studio glass, but I have often thought that if I could find an example of Charles Lotton in Mandarin Red (for an affordable price), I would like to have one. Fortunately, today was that day for me.

This vase, with iridescent silver pulled feather decoration, stands 6" tall and is signed Charles Lotton 1981. It was found at a small antiques show in Richmond, VA - and it was the only piece I left with - happily.
