This lovely ring is in classic Arts & Crafts style. The fruit motif seems to represent oranges or pomegranates, which were very popular in ornamental designs such as those of William Morris.
The green stone is apparently Amazonite (thanks CW!).
It has some wear, a sign that it has been loved… it still is. I wear it quite often.
Made in the UK around 1900, maker unknown.
Very beautiful. I love it.
I agree with DrFluffy :-)
Quite the ring style I love! for the stone if has a rather blue green tint, Amazonite?
Kyra, I think you are right, it looks like it is Amazonite, you have a good eye!!
Thanks, Fluffy, aghcollect & Peasejean for your comments and love.
Lovely ring! I agree on the Amazonite -- I have a Fahrner in that exact color. What is the size of the top of the ring?
Thanks to kyratango & Bluboi I have identified the stone as Amazonite! The size of the stone, it is 1.7 cm, so quite large.
sarahoff, vetraio & Vladimir, thanks for loving!
A new of mine posted with carnelian and daisies :-)
