I am not sure on who this guy is and any help is greatly appreciated.
The image is a standard CDV and based on the style and construction it dates from the 1860s- 70s.
The photographer is impressed at the bottom of the image "Bonifas Y. Valenzuela, Calle Rl. no. 8 Manila". Blank back.
Based on the Philippine photographer and era, I would suspect that the subject is Spanish and possibly part of the government/ military. Maybe even the Governor General?
Feel free to post any thoughts or ideas on the subject or research avenues.
Thanks vetraio and david.
