This would be for the box on the left hand side of the first photo. The other box is just there for background.
This is the last of the Vargas art boxes. The Chief on the right side of the first photo is the original version. It has an more ornate body and the open hands. In the second photo showing the difference between the open hands and the gripping hands. He was painted a bit and held together with hot glue as he was a pile of plastic pieces. The middle one used to be intact but fell off a shelf and is no held together with hot glue.
On the left side is an intact 1967 Chief.
Some say the head sculpt resembles Ed Ames as Mingo from the Daniel Boone TV show.
Finally there is the drum, peace pipe, rattle, and war club. The drum stick was supposed to be in the photo but I think it fell on the floor. This figure came with 36 pieces of equipment so you can make him into a whole Indian tribe.

Cool!!! I remember seeing a best of the west commercial where Cherokee started a stampede of houses. You probably couldn't get a PA know of best of the west horses back then. Anyway would you happen to have Cherokee's horse.
Vincent
Thank you very much Vincent. Yes I do have his horse and a herd to stampede.
