Continuing with the art pottery, this piece is a bit of an odd duck. The shape design and color give it a "deco" feel. The shape is flat like a "pillow" vase but they are usually wider or round. The sweeping band detail across the front looks very "art deco" in design. Then you have the top half done in a purple, grey, and brown drip glaze. There are noticeable seams down both sides. There is no damage but the inner rim has a rough edge factory defect which is glazed over. The bottom has no marks at all. It looks to have some age to it and there is crazing over the whole piece. It reminds me of Gonder pottery from the top glaze but I've never seen this shape before. -Mike-
