      Nice piece!!

I am always a little leery about these -- as I have seen some New Chinese Glass that copy this style and other companies ( Novica ) making some fine copies of Murano Glass. I love the style and everything, I just shy away from them.....so I can not say. Yours may well BE Murano Glass, a base pic would help, but again they (others) are making some fine copies if you see the links below.....

...or like here where they look Murano, but say *Murano INSPIRED*.

So I just do not know. Maybe someone else has better knowledge of these....

I got this one 15 years ago from an auction house and it was part of a Murano collector's glass collection. It is quite heavy and there are scratches on the bottom to suggest that it is a vintage piece.

You would best as do not have a base pic to see. If you know where you got it, and can see the base -- You know they type of glass. Me -- I am just looking at a pic. Your most likely is MURANO as you know Murano art glass (as I can see by your collection). You have a Good Eye and Very knowledgeable for them!!

I myself (personally) just shy away from these.......but that is just me.

      ;-)))

Yes...I know what you mean about the fakes out there. I've had a friend tell me that she bought a genuine Murano Sommerso glass vase from Winners....I had to tell her that it was a "Chinese" Murano. Like you say, the thing is that some of these copies look good, but when you closely examine them and pick them up, they are definitely inferior in quality.

So right!! Just like (for whatever reason ) I myself do not collect the Murano clowns. Just not my thing....LOL. They are nice, but I like Murano Glass with sparkles.......over the Murano clowns....LOL. I do not collect the clowns. Just me....LOL

I have just 3 clowns ....not my favorites either....once again, there is a lot of fake clowns out there.
