    This 5"Irish Wade trinket box was made in the 1950s , stamped on the base-
    IRISH PORCELAIN
    ????(clover leaf design)
    Made in Irelandby WADE Co Armagh.

    I think it unusual to have one with a ship picture as I've only ever seen shooting or horse rider designs ....
    The other thing that makes this one slightly special is the moulded wording inside on the base, as picture - it says-
    SOON MAN WILL APPEAR TO HAVE LEARNED ALL- EVEN HARNESSED MACHINES TO DO ALL HIS WORK .
    WHAT THEN IS HE GOING TO DO? PERHAPS RE-LEARN TO ENJOY THE SIMPLE THINGS ....
    THE BLUE OF THE SKY .....THE BEAUTY OF GREEN GRASS.... THE SONG OF BIRDS.....TRANQUILITY - AND BREAD AND CHEESE WITH A BOTTLE OF "GUINNESS".
    it has whale motifs all around in blue/green & A1 condition
    I think it's cool .. obviously made for Guinness franchise ..
