A Better Day

After having the disappointments of buying the old Model AA truck after having paid more than it was worth, this is one of the signs we fell in to as we journeyed home. Associated is the name of the California Company that J P Getty bought which later became Flying A out West. It therefore is the precursor to Flying A out on this side of the Rockies. This is a very very nice sign and pretty rare in these parts as we don't know anyone else around here that has one. When I first saw it I thought it was advertising Associated foods. Little did I know! My friend that owned it died last yr and his wife offered it to me when we were visiting with her yesterday. Busy as I am right now, I emptied the truck and off we headed back for her little town about 1 1/2 hrs away this morning as I had spent all my money on that dumb truck & some other signs we bought. Not sure exactly where we will end up hanging the sign just yet but after a good clean it will sparkle when it is on the side of a building. Just keep on hunting as there is good stuff out there waiting to be found!
