I was told this was acquired in the early 1980's by a soldier stationed in Japan. They are made of plastic and are on a felt type of cardboard display board with little paper labels under each piece that has writing on them. I do not speak Japanese I'm not sure what they say. If anyone has any information on what they think these might be or what the writing may say I would love to hear from you. Thank you for helping!
In the second picture, it says, 24K GP... Are you certain these are plastic? They look like some sort of metal samples and based on the plaque in picture 2, they are gold plated. I don't think they can gold plate plastic.
Yes after you make plastic conductive (graphite powder would work) you can plate plastic.

Wow, never knew that...
It says 24K GP COLOR on one of them. I'm not certain but it doesn't seem heavy enough to be metal. It's possible they could be plated. One of the gold ones has a small scratch and underneath it is a dark gray color. Arizona Collectibles starts next month in Phoenix which is a local version of antiques roadshow. Hopefully they could help. If you have any info or ideas let me know thanks folks!
