Alfredo Barbini circa 1960's, double fish figurine. The fish are made of gold flecked glass cased in clear glass containing bullicante (controlled bubbles). They are mounted on a crystal clear glass base which has two applied gold prunts -which I believe add a bit of interest to the base. What I love most, is the richness of the gold and movement of the fish as they thrash around while jumping out of the waves. It's a large and heavy piece measuring 14" tall and weighs 8 1/2 lbs. Thanks for looking.
Stunning Rick !! They are masterpieces as they look so real in the action that a real fish out thrash about ( Yes, I do fish sometimes ). Colors are amazing too. I agree with everything you said about these. Gotta love Murano!!
