We picked this photo up at a local estate sale and we are trying to figure out the army for which these soldiers fought. We are guessing European? Can anyone help?

I’m pretty sure they are German, WWI era, or even right after. I think the fellow on the left wears Noncommissioned Officer’s large buttons on his collar. The 4th guy from the left behind the other two seems to wear an Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon in his button hole. The Germans also wore two round cockades on the front of their caps, the top one being the National and the lower one indicating the part of Germany he came from. Most of the jackets seem match the standard German 1910 issue, except the far left and far right ones with breast pockets. I think those two may be wearing the wartime uniform for warm climates.

Wow! That was extremely detailed. Thank you so much for that information. We appreciate it! Now the only real question is why two of those officers are holding the guy in the middle up...:)
