The Land Rover model was released in 1965 and sold in the E Style box from 1965-1967. In 1968 is was sold in the F style box.
For those not familiar with Matchbox cars they were made in England by Lesney. Matchbox is still around but now it is just a name.

We still have the big ones on the road here & luv them! Like most Brit. engines, they leave a lot to be desired in the tropics, but the aluminium bodies are there for the duration. The inside door knobs rattle a lot!

Thank you muchly blunderbuss. Just about everyone up here has a 4x4 and there are few Land Rovers. But they are all the new ones must be the trendy thing. Don't be expecting this hillbilly to getting one soon.
The gendarmes use some & the spare wheel has a cover that reads DEFENDER. I joke about it telling them, "That ain't de fender. That's de spar wheel".
