Found this neat piggy bank in grandmas house. I would certainly welcome someone's assessment on this. Exactly what do I have here. Height is 24"

What is he made of and does he have any marking on him ? He would hold lots of money at 2 ft tall ! Very cool

It's made of thick ceramic type material. Has a coin slot on the back of his neck (through his bandana). Other than that, no markings. I had heard that these type if piggys were "prizes" at carnivals back in the 1940's or 50's. I've got 2 other banks made of same subsrance. One is a white clown with poka dots and the other is modeled after " The shoe" from the old woman lives in a shoe nursery rhyme. These 2 pieces measure 14" tall each.

I think the old carnival pieces were chalkware. The ceramic ones are newer and I think made in Mexico, maybe still are.

It looks like a newer piece, but the photos don't allow much inspection. Some additional photos showing details and the bottom would be helpful.

Pictures taken outdoors in sunlight may help to show details.

Chalkware is exactly what they are made of. I just couldn't find the word in my vocabulary. I will get additional pics added shortly. Thank you all so much for the comments for I am very new at this.
