Was given to me while helping do some cleaning of an old office building. Would love to find out how old it is, or how much it is worth. Any one have suggestions? Or how I can find out. Appears to be made of tin. Has some light rusting on the back. No identifying markings of any kind. Stands approximately 18"-24" tall. Thermometer appears to show accurate reading.
Note the small 42 under the 120° mark - I may be mistaken but I believe that denotes the year made. - The more knowledgeable Coca-Cola guys on here will either confirm that or tell you different.
Ah. Thanks for pointing that out. I actually never saw that. Going to actually research and see if there are any places locally that can help me. It looks old, but I'm not a good judge. Could easily be a remake. If anyone knows anyone in the Nashville, TN area please let me know.
Yes if anyone else has input I would love to hear it.
Thanks!
There are quite a few very knowledgeable Coca-Cola collectors on this site, you might just have to wait a couple of days or so as they are not always logged on. But I would always rely their comments as more accurate information.
This is the 29" original version, Made in USA, and only in Farenheight.
The remake is made in Mexico , has both farh. & Celsius, red back also.
Not sure what the 42 denotes, but not the date.
These are in the Petretti's book, pg 235, listed as 30", tin , 1958 made, and valued at $85.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!!
Thank you!
