These are called "Piano Babies " By Gebruder Heubach Germany late 1800's to 1910 they made these wonderful babies .These were never meant to be dolls but sit on a piano in the parlor .

I was going to ask you what they were used for, but Kovels answered my question.
"Piano baby is a collector's term. About 1880, the well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 6 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. Most of the piano babies date from the early twentieth century. Reproductions are being made. Other piano babies may be listed under manufacturers' names."
Thank you Manikin and katherinescollection. I googled Gebruder Heubach and found the exact mark on my baby. Problem solved.
Yes while other made them your mark was that of Gebruder Heubach and yes reproductions have been made but Gerbruder was the leader and yours is authentic .
