I picked this up at Goodwill the other day. it's pretty small for a compote - only 7 inches across by 4.5 inches tall. the design reminds me of an American regionalist painting of the 30s-40s. no marks that i can see. anyone recognize it? what was it used for? if it was for a cake, then it could only have held a cupcake.
This is awesome ho2 :).... Love the arts and craft/deco design .
I totally agree with Mikelv......adorable!
thank you mikelv85 and sklo42! any ideas on what it was used for?
i've added a photo of it w/ my keys in order to show the size of it.
beautiful!!!
is that kind of a winter barn yard scene? I love it!
For Tips??

thank you SEAN68, gargoylecollector, and surfdub66! yes, gargoyle - it appears to be a barn in winter scene. surfdub - you gave me an idea for what i'm going to use it for - to hold my business cards at the nursery!
How about......For pure pleasure!
sounds good sklo42!
It's Very nice, whatever it was for. I'd probably use it as you are, to keep keys on :)
