Glass Chicken Egg Cups: a wonderful modernist design

This is a pretty Opalex Made in France vintage opaline egg cup. It is fun for Easter. The mark OPALEX was registered in 1945. This marks concerned certain glassworks in the Bresle valley of the Somme river separating the Seine-Maritime. This opal glass, white or colored, was produced by the glass Louard (aka Glassware of Silver Mesh) to Longroy (Seine-Maritime). This glass almost exclusively manufactured ashtrays. Glassware Romesnil (town Nesle-Normandeuse) had a much more diversified production (bottles), but lack of investment, it was also closed.
