This sign is 4" by 8" not sure what kind of metal but has some patina on it so brass maybe. Says Leonard construction company Chicago New York 1918. Not sure how old if the date is the date made or just a reference to the company. Any info on this piece would be appreciated. Thankyou

Are there signs that maybe it was welded onto something? I looks like a plaque the contractor put on bridges they built.
