Young Girl Reading, or The Reader (French: La Liseuse), an 18th-century oil painting by Jean-Honoré Fragonard.

I think I love this painting because when I first saw this I was just 11 years old and I felt like I identified with her! I wanted to be her!

A favorite of mine as well. This painting was on the cover of an interesting edition of The Binnacle about three years ago.

You can browse their threads, but that edition is unavailable online, I think. It may be on Amazon.
