This Catholic Folk Art (I'm guessing)

Help!!! I'm trying to find out who made this! I've been searching for over 4 years to no avail to find outwho makes them! I have two one with Mother Mary and one with St. Francis. I picked them both up at Goodwill and our local St. Vincent dePaul, one for $5 and the other for $1.99!! I believe they are made from a red clay or terracotta. The mark on the back is engraved but completely illegible. And the color on front is closione. Any information you might have would be great!!!! :-D
