Bought a box of brass at an auction, found this interesting set along with some WWI trench art. Each ashtray is about 3" across, the set when stacked is 21/2" high. Stamped "made in Germany" on the one base.

the "v. Chr." (Vor Christus) means the same as B.C. (Before Christ).

The images on the ash trays seem to be coins that date to the period indicated. For example, If you try "dolphin eagle 400 BC coin" in Google images, you get a Greek coin that is almost the same image as uppermost ash tray. I tried it with your other trays with mixed success.

I know this is a long shot as this was 3 years ago but Ive had a set of these for a couple years and just decided to research them and this I'd the only picture of them I can find, I can't find any info on what year they were made or if they are of any value, hoping you could give me more info on these if possible, thank you!!
