Japanese, and without seeing the base I will make a tentative ID of Oread. 1960s.

Yes Oread. It's a little known brand but extremely likeable I think!
i agree i just bort a red and blue one... will add a picture of all 3 in 2 weeks time hopefully with the pictures the right way up
