This 27 jewels automatic CERTINA is a well made swiss watch,but does not seem to be appreciated among watch collectors,but,I being the perpetual optimistic fool,I try and see the best in all swiss watches,hope I can convert some of you folks into appreciating this brand,probably wishful thinking on my part,but , being the perpetual optimist,I hope I succeed,lol,I think this is a circa 1975.
Here in Europe, these Certina watches are highly appreciated.
I would not be surprised,as CERTINA is an old manufacturer, you must also understand that we in SOUTH AFRICA have only been exposed to the rest of the world market since our first democratic elections in 1994,so we were privy to only a few brands of watches, OMEGA,ROTARY,CAMY,ROLEX,ORIS, etc,It is now a niche market to collect and thanks to the internet we have the global village as our shopping mall.we have a NOUVEAU RICHE sector of the population and brands such as BREITLING,HUBLOT,PIAGET,CARTIER,FRANK MULLER ETC are now available,but only the wealthy can afford them,enough said about our watch history,Thanks again for your contribution.
