We bought this snuff or trinket box very cheap because it is not in perfect conditions to our preferred dealer Dorita. We were not even sure about the material it seemed ivory but we have not glasses to look it in detail. But the way of construction is so rare that captured Sergio attention. But if you look to the pictures in fool length you can see it is ivory. The hinge and the latch are finely hand elaborated. After studying a bit I think it was done in India or Russia. I would be grateful to know any data you can tell us about it.
