This is more of a "Show and Ask" post than "Show and Tell". I need help identifying this piece of furniture. I've had this item for years and have no idea what its original function was. As you can see it has a door (with interior towel bar?) on one side and slots on the other. The drawer also pulls through to both sides. Measures 20"W x 16"D x 36.75"H. There is a stamp on the inside of the drawer but its too worn to read; however I'm hoping that there is enough of it in the picture that someone will recognize it.
I've started refinishing this and I'd like to know before I go any further if I need to retain the integrity of the piece or if I can get creative with it. Anyone out there know what this is?
