Hello all. I am hoping someone out there may know some information about this antique looking teapot. I am new to collecting antiques, so I might just be looking in wrong places for information.
The flowers, Phoenix bird and base, which has feathers going completely around are blue. Spout, neck and handle are copper with black over it. Body look to be cream with tea stain technique. There are 3 loops toward the top on 3 sides of pot forming a triangle. Mouth is raised and small, 1-1/2" opening. Teapot is 5" in diameter. There is markings on the bottom as well as a written #3.

Any help or guidance will be so appreciated.

The mark at the bottom (rotated 90 degrees clockwise to be upright) says 'Da Qing Qianlong'. If you go halfway down this page here http://gotheborg.com/marks/20thcenturychina.shtml#chunlungsang you will find the subsection 'Qianlong, Da Qing' where it says: "The mark is referring to the Qianlong period (1736-1795) during the Qing dynasty. However, in these marks the Nian Zhi [period make] of the regular mark is omitted. So far I have not seen any mark of this type that appears to be older than the 1970s. It is worth remembering that during 1965-70 was the period of the 'Glorious Cultural Revolution' in China and not much porcelain, and certainly not any with any Imperial references, was made inside China proper during this time. I think that any porcelain with Imperial Chinese references in the mark had their decoration added outside of China."

Thank you very much for the information. I guess it easy to confuse a newbie to collecting.
