I have a fascination for thermos carafes from the Art Deco period, and I have several of them in my collection. These two are my favorites because of their incredible streamline design! They are known as "The Hollywood Set" from the American Thermos and Bottle Company, circa 1930's. What's amazing is that both of them have their original black drinking glasses (which fit on top of the decanters) and their black glass underplates. They are very rare thermoses...even more so given that they are complete.
The second one here is what I consider a "Her" version of the carafe due to the very feminine, rose pink color of the enamel. It still has a Machine Age design with the conical shape and black glass accents. I love the incised, streamline lines in the carafes which match the lines in the drinking glasses. So stylish! And very modern even by today's standards.
These are really great! Wow
