As I continue to unpack, I ran across my Kachina I bought many years ago. I had it on display when I had a larger home, prior to the crash in 2008. I lost my home and had to pack my things. I believe is Navajo. Anyway, I wanted to share my Kachina.
So sorry you lost so much! But glad you saved the Kachina! It's lovely! It's by C.C. Tewia I believe, is Hopi. You might find some more info at the Terra Museum online.Or this link to the Native American Museum in Washington, DC.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Museum_of_the_American_Indian
Sorry you lost all but you were lucky enough to keep this thanks for showing
I can't afford to be materialistic like before. I am going to try to get money for them. I need that more than anything. Living on disability taught me what's really important. My Meds glasses teeth health and a roof over my head. But I am a happy woman and strive to survive well. I am happy and at peace.
I know exactly were you are coming from we sold everything we own for our move North hoping I would get to see some real beauty but so far that is exactly what I have spent it on & here it's suppose to be free all due to a doctors neglect in the end I should of stuck to my word & never done chemo. My mistake have a good man & wanted more time with him. Now I'm in a cabin with very little but also a lot you will understand that.
It's rough, I know.
It can be but that's a minor point in life while we breath we live. I hope things work out better for you
