This was a car boot pick up for £4.
It's a very good quality smoked glass decanter , heavy with a polished pontil , must be I think from the 50s/60s in immaculate condition just needing a wash , I love the shape & especially the stopper ..it's just over 9"h..
I can't find it on whitefriars / orrefors/dartington sites so I'm thinking Czech ... Unsure really .. any ideas welcome :-)

actually i found that yesterday but its got a different stopper ! I found some similar stoppers on czech bottles but not the design , the base is similar to whitefriars finish with the polished pontil , it has age because it has surface scratches on the base , i think 60s ish ..;-)

After I do the US charity stores I'm coming to the UK to do tip shops and boot sales.

I don't recognise this decanter, but looking at the stopper peg I don't think it is UK manufacturer. My guess would be Czech, as the design doesn't seem strong enough for it to be Scandinavian. I will have a dig through my books over the weekend and see if I spot it.
