We really don't know anything about coke machines or any of the cool coke stuff that people seem to collect, but when we saw this nice looking 5 cent coke machine for sale I couldn't resist buying it to display it at aaaLakeside Storage along with all of our porcelain signs and gas pumps etc. it somehow doesn't feel right to have antique gas stations and not have a coke machine around. We do have some of the chest type of machines and a dime Coke machine but this Nickle dispenser looks like it will fit just fine. Now we just have to find the right place for it. Maybe inside a gas station between the antique cars? Not sure of the value but it is pretty cute to us and works if we want to plug it in. The fun was in the hunt and now begins the work! Where to put it? And then PUTTING IT! They aren't that light and I am old!
Very cool, Rattletrap! I have a 27a machine in my garage. Its amazing how these old machine still operate and cool. That is quality craftsmanship!

I heard your not supposed to lie them down , is that true just like you don't lie refrigerators down? It's sure is a beauty and in great condition!!
U are correct. We should not ever lay a fridge down and should carry them standing up. Of course I tend to break the rules and have always carried fridges laying down as it is easier and safer and I have never had a problem with doing it. Knock on wood! It can potentially cause a problem for the gases if left for too long, but I try and hurry. We shall see with this one but it was only down for an hr or so while I hauled it to where it is stored standing up.
Good observation
