This item is around 10" tall and has a smooth finish. The symbol on the bottom is the only clue I have.

Look around the 50's or 60's then again it could be earlier I don't think so somehow.
Is the mark 2 stylized * H * and it says MADE IN ______ under that? What does it say there are I can not tell as the pic is too blurry for me. Call you tell us what it says, and also post another (clearer ) bottom pic?
Ditto to antiquerose. I see the same thing and the symbol or initials look very familiar to me too but would need a better pic.
