I found these porcelain figures a while back and kept them, but in the back of my mind I was always wondering about them as to what they might be. I call them my "monks". They were in a box that said chopstick holders (My Japanese friend translated it), but why would they have silk tassels on them if they are chopstick holders? It just does not make sense. But what are they for? Altar pieces?

I was hoping the community here could advise me, brain storm with me as to what they might be, as I am very curious.

    Thank you for your help!
