This is a large Amy Sandheim Silver Rock Crystal Pendant, I'm not sure of the stones on the Silver work.
I bought this of the seller that I bought my Dorrie Nossiter Bracelet and earrings. We were discussing how nice it would be to try and put it back to how it looked originally hench the other necklace. I spent ages trying to find something that would go with this pendant, eventually I spotted this necklace on the net, I think it is Art Deco, to my eye it goes perfectly with Amy's Pendant, I would like to see what other people think before I go ahead.
The pendant is very heavy which you would expect from Rock Crystal. The measurements are 35mm across and 50mm in length. The Silver frame is exactly the same on both sides, it is in fantastic condition, as I said above I'm not sure of the stones, the top stone is is red the one below is a pink colour.
I would love to hear about whether I should go ahead and restore or leave it alone.
    Many thanks for looking

      It is glorious !
I would say pink tourmalines, aka rubellites for the red stones.
For the chain, if real pearls and silver could do the match, except the pink beads which are obsiously costume.
Be careful, the pendant is certainly heavy and the wiring connections don't seem solid enough to support it...

Thanks Kyra, the Chain is strong and heavy, I think I'll ask the jeweller. I haven't seen anything remotely that would blend with the Pendant.

Hi Kyra, I forget to add that pink beads on the necklace are glass.

For the beads, It is what I meant when saying they were costume :-)

That is really a personal issue some people like to others like it to show it's age myself I lean that way I don't like them dirty but as yours is at the moment that can be seen in the picture. I haven't seen what you were going to wear it with but I truly love this piece not over the top.

Hi Jean. This is a cracker! The chain is a personal matter but I think it's too light. Sandheim was known to use recycled french guard chains which are much heavier and make the jewels more substantial. Also, I tend to find lighter chains make the heavier pendants swing more.

Anyway, the good news for you is that I have a citrine drop with this grape motif and an original chain. I'll post it for you now.

Thank you Jewels1900, I've listened to both Kyra and your advise, I'm now looking for strong antique silver chain. I have found Victorian Antique continental silver muff guard chain, it looks as if it could do the business. Yet again thanks for your comment.
