Here's a set of Art Deco chrome cocktail cups in my collection. They are attributed to famed industrial designer, Walter Von Nessen, circa 1930's. Possibly a Von Nessen studio item. I've had others tell me they are a Von Nessen design, but I've never seen any official documentation of this. They are unmarked and have cork bottoms and have cobalt glass inserts.
In his book "Art Deco Chrome" (pg. 88), Jim Linz also depicts of set of these cups in satin and black nickel and describes them as having an "exceptional design," which they do. The circular fins on the cups are a very Machine Age design. In one of the pics, I've paired them with a Chase Copper and Brass Company "Coaster" tray, which was designed by famed industrial designer Russel Wright circa 1930's. The tray is chrome with a blue glass insert.
I have the same cocktail cups in copper and brass, which are shown here:

Love, love, love the blue and silver!!!
Agreed!
Looks like Rago Auctions in 2002 attributed these cocktail cups to Von Nessen. Love the Von Nessen tray that goes with them:
