I fell in love with this pair of lamps at a little antique shop in Ellijay, GA. I know absolutely nothing about them, but that they look like my Pink depression glass dishes that are also trimmed with gold. (Which I also know, absolutely nothing about.)

These lamps sit 39 1/2 inches tall from base to top of the finial. They have no markings to show who the maker is.

Shop owner told me to take them apart and clean them. I don't think that is a wise idea. They do need to be re-wired, they appear to not function.
Shop owner also stripped the shades, I don't know what fabric to put back on them, any suggestions??

Firstly, thanx for preserving pink depression glass !
Especially the gilding which goes nice w/ the pink and green !
I pass it up all the time in the thrift stores and I see a lot of nice pieces. Cheap too !
But not gilded as much. So u got the right stuff !
And the lamp lends an interesting ensemble display !
I've seen those lamps with really frilly material and gaudy floral prints.
If u must ..(?) but u can study some vintage styles that are from the era but toned down would let the lamp stand out more. I can see a royal blue w/ small floral print. Or faded canary yellow w/ floral ( a must !) for the atmosphere of it's dated character ! And fire retardant is best ! U pic the fabric. Or have it done by a professional. Some frill perhaps ( if u must)! Lace is way too granny !! Of coarse it's just my opinion. The thing about no shade is that u now have options. Neutral would ruin it. !!

Thanks Lambda for the suggestions. Do you have any idea of the time period or names of patterns of the lamps or dishes? The gilded caught my eye, I am pairing the dishes withe my grandmother's Rose Chintz also gilded with gold.
