Maker unknown, don't care, just a nice little basket to add to my tango collection. Pontil snapped but surrounds filed down. Yellow matched a lot of other yellows I have. If I were thinking maker, did not WMF do a series where the handles were plain, rather than thorns? And clearly an outer casing of clear glass. Photo shows this very well...
anyhow it's gorgeous. Picked it up at the Bendigo Antique Fair - Easter weekend...
First one to spot where it is on the display proves they read this far...
Middle shelf .... Fourth from the right !!!!
A totally curvaceous basket.....lovely!
Yeah Peggy - a man made this for sure!
Lovely Anne. I like the round handle, very Deco :)
Well done Kevin as there is a lot going on there to compete with, a few spatter baskets, a large yellow planter box as I call it, a 3 handled spatter vase, another spatter vase and a yellow vase as well...Ive got a question and will post the vase shortly about the style as I have several of these vases with lip rims and just wonder what the style is called....
What are you girls rabbiting on about being man making curves....surely a woman knows itimately the feel of curves as she lives with them all day long...lol
Thanks Fran for liking. Yes until I bought this basket I didnt appreciate the handle shape and style. I had prefer the rose thorn handle. Now I like this one too as it adds great dimension to the basket. Well designed....
Thank you everyone - Anne :)
