I'm hoping someone can give me some background on this pin I recently purchased for my australian grandfather.
It measures roughly 20 mm and appears to have formed some patina.
Thank you

Hi is it a pin or a button ? Can you show back also ? We have several Military experts here on CW so maybe add a photo of back for them :-) Neat piece
Hi there it's a pin with two pins. I have added a photo of the back and removed one of the clasps. Thanks I think it's great! :)
It's an American Army artillery enlisted soldier's collar/lapel insignia. Based on the style of manufacture, between 1943 and 1970. However, it looks like the piece of metal on back holding the pins is steel, so I'd say closer to WWII.
Thanks so much for your information it's very helpful :)
