This piece belonged to my mother who collected depression glassware. It appears to be Hazel Atlas Royal Lace in cobalt blue. The design on the item matches the other pieces we have. It measures 3 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches wide. We think it may be a nut bowl, but cannot find a picture in any of the collector books to verify it. Do you know what this is??

looks like Florentine which is also by Hazel-Atlas. There is a #1 and a #2 Florentine pattern and I can't tell which you have from photos. The form is sometimes called a comport or compote.

Thanks! We checked again and the pattern is different. You were the first to answer! We are now trying to decide if we have #1 or #2
