I haven't gotten around to digging for the info on this Sterling Silver Thimble. Looks like the marks of:
~ J.F
~ Anchor
~ Lion Passant
~ and the letter *A*
Prehaps you know a quicker answer than me, as I will hunt around. It is Family heirloom, passed down over the years. Super Patina on it!!
Thanks for looking!! Hope you enjoyed !!
The date letter A means :

The J. F maker's mark means:

Can I change that date letter reference?
The little thingy underneath the cartouche ...
It's the next one .... 1925.

It seems 1925 is pretty late in their thimble career ...

Sure you can -- I was trying to see what you meant-- as it looked like a Capital letter *A* in a shield and I did not see it in the first link
Will check out the other link you just posted............
I have a question. On the James Fenton mark I saw the DOT between the JF was more in the middle (higher up) by the JF

.....while the mark for Joseph Fulton - the Dot between the JF was lower to bottom letters

Can you see what I mean in these images.....Thanks
I think they just changed over the years. In the 'silvermakersmars' link above you can see a variety of marks ...
