Hi,
we have a Bacardi Rum bottle that we got from a Mexican friend (she comes from a very good family well connected) and that she said is 100 years old. Is in very good shape but it does not state anywhere when it was produced. I have contacted the Bacardi Museum in Spain but they don't have any information. Any ideas on how to verify how old it is?
Hi, welcome to CW :-)
For your question, seriously, Hummm...
Plastic cap? 100 years old?
Advertizement on pic one saying "Abuso en el consumo de este producto es nocivo..." is strange on what you say beeing 100 years old!
Last point.... see this one found with a very quick search!

Anejo means old. Your friend probably meant the rum inside was aged, not that it was bottled 100 years ago. But then again, for rum extra aging means several years older than normal, nowhere near 100 years.
Bacardi the producer has been around for more than 100 years.

^.^* ups I guess that I did not think at all about the plastic thing, that's what happens when your mind is not where it is supposed to be, sorry guys. So it means that it does not worth a penny? Should I still keep it?
A current liter bottle costs about $25 in the store - so go get a 12 pack of Coca-Cola, a couple of lemons, and serve some Cuba Libre's for Cinco de Mayo :)
Ok! :) I will have a 60's evening with friends. Thank you guys!!!
