    Felix the Cat first appeared on November 9, 1919, in "Feline Follies." He was created by Otto Messmer for the Pat Sullivan studio. He quickly became famous, holding a spot as the world's most popular cartoon character until Mickey Mouse came onto the scene.

    The arms & legs are jointed & can be easily moved & posed. The head swivels a full 360 degrees. It has glass eyes, felt ears, a stitched nose & a stitched mouth. One other feature is unusual – it has a hump back. The hump is pronounced.
